Concussion Recovery: Day 15.5-16

Sleep slowly improving: I slept from 10-2 last night and went back to sleep at 3:30 – 5:30; up since and know a nap is soon…💤💤

Now, I think I awakened at 2 am for a reason and when I went online at 2:30; I was able to chat with the professional who is assisting me with editing my forthcoming book- ‘The Upbringing that Encircles Me: a Memoir.’

We have a lot in common and click. It will be great working with her! She came recommended from one of my mentors on LinkedIn and I will thank him profusely soon.

So, spurts of creativity, lots of rest, ambient light on screens, and in house still. Tire easily, shoulder still really sore and reduced mobility, but I am staying positive!

My chair by the window with a comfy blanket exposes me to light and provides me with a view of the park across the way…. each day I see the large maple tree right outside my window shed it’s leaves…most fell yesterday.

Winter is not far behind…brrrr; so not ready. Just ordered my new winter boots, winter garb washed and ready, snow tires still to go on the car as it will be here before I want it too!❄️❄️☃️⛄️❄️❄️

I have a contact from Facebook that sends me daily the temperature in Florida compared to here in Montreal; it is a 40 degree difference. Can I be a snowbird just for January and February??? The 2 worst months in the north weather-wise…

I bought snow shoes last month from Costco so my hubby and I can stay active, the outdoor arena is already set-up across the street so free ice skating- though that might have to wait with the shoulder injury. Snow shoeing should be a soft landing if I fall, right? 😳

I went out for an hour as suggested by my physiotherapist so I can slowly expose myself to light, noise, and driving.

3 stops and quick stops and I was done. Snowdon Bakery, SAQ for my hubby, and the Korean store on rue St. Jacques for dumplings, some fresh veggies, and veggie spring rolls. Croissants, cheese bagels, black bread or peasant bread as it is called from Snowdon, and a special rum to add to the coffee on the weekend from the SAQ and for my husband of course…😊

Fell asleep at 8 pm and was up at 11:30 pm. I awoke thinking it was 5 am!
